Germany took part in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, with a delegation of 111 athletes, including 75 men and 36 women. For the first time since 1964 an all-German team started again.

Flag bearer

The bobsleigh driver Wolfgang Hoppe carried the flag of Germany during the opening ceremony in Parc Olympique.

Medals

According to the medal table , Germany was the most successful nation. The most successful athletes were the biathlete Mark Kirchner and the speed skater Gunda Niemann, who each won two golds and one silver.
