Friedrich "Fritz" Fischer (born September 22, 1956 in Kelheim ) is a former German biathlete and biathlon trainer.

Career

He worked as a discipline trainer for the German men's national team and then as a trainer for young biathletes in Chiemgau at the Ruhpolding base . From the 2010/11 season until the end of the 2013/2014 season he was again the discipline trainer of the German men's team.

His greatest success was winning the gold medal with the 4 × 7.5 km relay at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville. In 2006 he was awarded the Bavarian Sports Prize in the "Ambassador of Bavarian Sports" category.

Fischer's brothers Georg and Markus were also active biathletes.
