Aigen is a village and a cadastral community of the market town of Ludweis-Aigen in the Waidhofen an der Thaya district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 62 building areas with 21,541 m² and 52 gardens on 23,628 m² in the cadastral community of Aigen , in 1989/1990 there were 63 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 96 and in 2009/2010 there were 81 buildings on 185 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 201 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 57 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 202 hectares and 57 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 193 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 57 hectares. Aigen's average soil climate number is 31.5 (as of 2010).
