Nikolai Kuzmich Meschcherjakow ( Russian: Николай Кузьмич Мещеряков ; * January 7, 1935 , † May 8, 2011 ) was a Soviet biathlete .

Meschcherjakow celebrated his greatest success when he was able to finish fifth in the individual at the Biathlon World Cup in 1963 in Seefeld in Tyrol despite eight shooting errors and won the unofficial team classification of the added individual times with Vladimir Melanin and Valentin Pschenizyn . In 1966 it was used again in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and missed another podium finish with Nikolai Pusanow , Wladimir Gundarzew and Wladimir Melanin in the relay, which was officially part of the World Championship program for the first time, behind Norway, Poland and Sweden . At Soviet championships in 1962 he emerged as the winner in the 20 km individual, he won another championship title in 1966 in the 4 × 7.5 km relay.
