Paavo Repo (born January 5, 1927 in Kuopio ) is a former Finnish biathlete and biathlon trainer.

Paavo Repo belonged to the first generation of successful Finnish biathletes. He achieved his greatest success at the 1961 Biathlon World Championships in Umeå . There he won the bronze medal in the individual behind his compatriot Kalevi Huuskonen and the Soviet Russian Alexander Priwalow . In the initially unofficial team evaluation, in which the best three results of the participants from the individual nations were evaluated together, he won the title that is now officially held by the International Biathlon Union . It was Repo's only participation in biathlon world championships . In 1963 he came again to an international assignment in an international match between Finland, Sweden, the GDR and Great Britain, in which he won the race. After his active career, Repo became a coach and, among other things, looked after the Finnish national team.
