Manfred Beer (born December 2, 1953 in Altenberg in the Ore Mountains ) is a former German biathlete .

Manfred Beer is married to the former GDR champion in sports acrobatics , Heidi Beer . He is the father of the biathletes Katja and Romy Beer, who have since also retired . The family runs a biathlon camp and a small restaurant, the Beerenbaude, in the Zinnwald district of Altenberg .

Beer won the bronze medal with the relay of the GDR at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck with the line-up of Karl-Heinz Menz , Frank Ullrich , Manfred Beer and Manfred Geyer . In addition, he won the world championship title with the GDR relay in Hochfilzen in 1978 and in Ruhpolding in 1979 , after finishing third in 1977 . In all seasons, Beer was the starting runner and his teammates were Frank Ullrich, Klaus Siebert and Eberhard Rösch (1978 and 1979) and Manfred Geyer in 1977.
