Andrei Anatoljewitsch Senkow ( Russian Андрей Анатольевич Зенков ; born November 10, 1961 in what was then the Soviet Union ) is a former Soviet biathlete .

Andrei Senkow began his career as a cross-country skier in the children's and youth sports school in Apatity, DJuSSch ( ДЮСШ треста "Апатитсрой" ) in Apatity , his trainer there was N. Schablinski. In cross-country skiing, he won the Soviet runner-up over 30 km and bronze over 15 km, and in 1979 the Soviet championship for up to 23-year-olds. In 1981 he turned to biathlon. He was quickly accepted into the national team and achieved good results. At the Junior World Championships in Lahti in 1981 he was third. He was used from the 1984/85 season in the Biathlon World Cup and ran into the points several times. In the overall standings of the 1984/1985 season he was fifth with 130 points after two wins and a third place. The high point of his career was the 1985 biathlon world championships in Ruhpolding . When Yuri Kaschkarow won in the individual, he was 13th with four shooting errors, just behind his compatriot Sergei Bulygin . In the sprint he was 22nd, in the relay with the line-up Kashkarow, Algimantas Šalna , Senkow and Bulygin as the final runner, he secured the world title. In the 1986/87 World Cup season , he won the World Cup sprint in Ruhpolding.

In 2002, Senkow founded the Murmansk Extreme ( МурманскЭкстрим ) off-road racing team in his place of residence, Murmansk, and has been driving off-road races ever since, winning the Arctic Trophy in 2005 . He was named an Honored Master of Sport .
