Dmitri Wladimirowitsch Wassiljew ( Russian Дмитрий Владимирович Васильев ; born December 8, 1962 in Leningrad ) is a former Soviet biathlete and two-time Olympic champion .
At the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo , he won the 4 × 7.5 km run with the Soviet relay. He finished the individual run over 20 km in 32nd place. Four years later at the Winter Olympics in Calgary he repeated the triumph with the Soviet relay and won his second gold medal. In the individual run over 10 km, he came in 9th.
In 1986 he was also able to win the gold medal with the relay at the Biathlon World Championships in Oslo and a year later at the World Championships in Lake Placid also the silver medal with the relay.
