Sergei Petrovich Tarasov

Sergei Petrovich Tarasov ( Russian Сергей Петрович Тарасов ; born February 15, 1965 in Staroaleiskoje , Altai region ) is a former Russian biathlete.

At the 1994 Olympic Games in Lillehammer , he won the gold medal over 20 kilometers in biathlon . He also won silver with the relay and bronze over 10 kilometers at these games. In 1996 he became world champion again over 20 kilometers.
