Lithuania took part in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, with six athletes, three men and three women, in three sports.
In 1992, Lithuania had its own Olympic team for the first time since 1928. After the Second World War, until 1988, Lithuanian athletes only took part in the Olympic Games as members of Soviet delegations. The team remained without a medal.
Flag bearer
The biathlete Gintaras Jasinskas carried the flag of Lithuania during the opening ceremony in Parc Olympique.
