Gladys Frazin , also Gladys Frazin Banks (* 1901 , † March 9, 1939 in Manhattan , New York ) was an American film and stage actress .

Much of the life of the once famous actress has not yet been explored. Gladys Frazin was born in 1901. She was married three times, for example to Leo Lowenstein, a New York businessman with whom she also had her only child, Leo Lowenstein Jr. (* 1920). She was only married to David Gilmore for a few months in 1924, followed by her most famous marriage, with the comedian Monty Banks , whom she had met in London , this went from 1929 to 1932.

She played theater, mainly on Broadway , but also in London and was even a part of the Comédie-Française in 1924 . In England she has also appeared in films. In total, however, the actress made only 9 films, her heyday was the silent film era and the early talkies.

The most famous actors she shot with were Lou Tellegen and her own husband, Monty Banks. In her last film, the Hungarian actress Marika Rökk can also be seen as a dancer.

On March 9, 1939, the now melancholy actress committed suicide by throwing herself out the window of her parents' apartment in New York.
