List of Olympic medalists from Lithuania
The Lithuanian National Olympic Committee (lit. Lietuvos tautinis olimpinis komitetas , verk. LTOK ) was 1924 founded and in 1991 after independence again by the International Olympic Committee added.
Medals balance
So far, athletes have won 25 Olympic medals for Lithuania (6 gold, 6 silver, 13 bronze). Besides basketball, the Lithuanians' domain is the discus throw , in which Virgilijus Alekna (2 × gold and 1 × bronze) and Romas Ubartas (1 × gold for Lithuania and 1 × silver for the USSR) shone.
