Darius Maskoliūnas (born January 6, 1971 in Jonava , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian politician from Vilnius and a former basketball player and coach.

Life

In 1989 he graduated from the Jonava Middle School . In 2010 he completed his studies in public administration at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas . He worked at SVC as project development manager, president of Kauno krepšinio mėgėjų lyga. From 2007 he was assistant to the coach of Kauno "Žalgiris" and from December 2009 (after the resignation of Gintaras Krapikas ) to May 2010 he was head coach of "Žalgiris".

In August 2010 he became head coach of Kauno "KK Kaunas" and in October 2010 assistant to Aleksandar Trifunović at Vilniaus "Lietuvos rytas" . In April 2011, Vilniaus komanda became the head coach. In August 2011 he was Džikić's assistant.

He is a member of Liberalų ir centro sąjunga , from 2010 a member of the “TAIP” (Tėvynės atgimimas ir perspektyva) movement, from 2007 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2015 with Artūro Zuoko ir Vilniaus koalicija member of the Vilnius City Council .

With his wife Aidija he has the son Gustas and the daughter Ema.
