List of Olympic medalists from India

India first took part in the Summer Olympics in Paris in 1900 with Norman Pritchard , who won a silver medal in two disciplines. At the 1920 Summer Olympics , India competed with its own team for the first time. The Indian National Olympic Committee Indian Olympic Association was founded in 1927.
