Gintarė Scheidt (born Volungevičiūtė; born November 12, 1982 in Kaunas , Lithuanian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Lithuanian sailor.

Gintarė Scheidt is the first Lithuanian athlete to win a silver medal at the Summer Olympic Games in sailing ( Laser Radial ). On August 19, 2008, she finished second in Qingdao with 42 points . This made her one of five medal winners for the Lithuanian team at the 2008 Olympic Games .

After graduating from high school, Gintarė Scheidt graduated from Kaunas Vyturio Middle School with a bachelor's degree and since 2007 she has been studying sports management and tourism at the Lithuanian Sports Academy as a master’s degree .

Gintarė Scheidt has been involved in sports since 1991. Her trainer is Linas Eidukevičius. Her first trainer was Raimondas Komskis. In October 2008 she married the Brazilian sailor Robert Scheidt .
