Qingdao International Sailing Center
The Qingdao International Sailing Center is a 2008 Summer Olympics sports venue located in Qingdao , a coastal city in northeast Shandong Province . It was the venue for the Olympic competitions in sailing .
The Qingdao International Sailing Center covers an area of 42 hectares, two thirds of which are used for competitions. It is located near the Beihai Shipyard on Fushan Bay and includes a land, a port and a sea area. The land area is home to the administrative and judges ' offices , the press and athletes' center as well as various logistics and infrastructure facilities . In contrast, the port and sea areas are primarily geared towards sporting and competition-related issues. The Olympic Memorial Wall is also located on a quay .
