Hong Kong Equestrian Center
Coordinates: 22 ° 23 '53 " N , 114 ° 12' 22" O The Reitsportzentrum Hong Kong is a sports site in Hong Kong , and was the host of the competitions in jumping , dressage and eventing in the 2008 Olympics . There are two different areas: Shatin , where dressage and show jumping are held, and Beas River , where the cross-country course for eventing is located.
Shatin
The competition venue for dressage and show jumping is a 100 × 80 meter sand arena that can be used regardless of the weather. It can accommodate 18,000 spectators. It belongs to the Hong Kong Jockey Club and Penfold Park . In addition to the arena, there is a warm-up zone for the horses , a building for the competition management, an area for receiving celebrities , as well as rooms for the stable boys and new stables for around 200 horses.
Beas River
The cross-country course for eventing is located in the area of the Beas River Country Club and the Hong Kong Golf Club and is 5.7 kilometers long and about 10 meters wide. There will also be warm-up and exercise zones, as well as stables for 80 horses.
