Beijing Olympic Sports Center
The Beijing Olympic Sports Center is located in the north of Beijing , south of the Olympic Green . It was built for the 1990 Asian Games and renovated and expanded for the 2008 Summer Olympics . The association Beijing Sports University FC currently wears their home games.
Olympic Sports Center Stadium
The Olympic Sports Center Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium that is currently mainly used for football . The stadium was renovated for the Olympic Games and two disciplines of modern pentathlon ( cross-country and show jumping ) were held there. The central football field was converted into a temporary riding arena for the riding disciplines.
The renovation expanded the capacity from 18,000 to 36,228 spaces and the floor space from 20,000 m² to 34,975 m².
Olympic Sports Center high school
Right next to the Olympic Sports Center Stadium and the Ying Tung Natatorium is the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium . It was also renovated for the Olympic Games and was the venue for several games of the Olympic handball tournament .
The capacity increased from 6,000 to 7,000 places and the floor space from 43,000 m² to 47,410 m². In addition, three training fields were created.
