Frank Dittrich (born December 23, 1967 in Leipzig ) is a former German speed skater .

He took part in four Winter Olympics from 1992 to 2002 . His best placings were fourth over 5000 meters in 1992 in Albertville , sixth and eighth over 10,000 and 5000 meters in 1994 in Lillehammer ( Vikingskipet ) and fifth and sixth over 5000 and 10,000 meters in Nagano in 1998 .

Dittrich was more successful at world championships and was able to win 5 individual medals over 5000 and 10,000 meters. He also won the bronze medal at the 1997 Allround World Championships . In total, he won 15 medals at world championships.

In 2002 he won a World Cup over 10,000 meters in The Hague and was third in the overall World Cup on the long distances in 1999 and 2000 . At the European Championships in 2000 and 2002 , he won the 10,000 meters. He was German champion 13 times and set a total of 19 German records.

Frank Dittrich has been working in sports marketing at Deutsche Kreditbank AG (DKB) since 2004 and has been the marketing officer for the German Speed ​​Skating Association since 2006 . In 2010 he was a co-commentator for Eurosport at the Olympic speed skating competitions in Vancouver on the microphone.
