Hillar Zahkna of the Dünamo Tallinn sports club had its most successful period in the first half of the 1990s. He was at the 1992 Olympic Games of Albertville in Les Saisies 27 of the Sprint race and 34th in singles. At the 1992 Biathlon World Championships in Novosibirsk , where the non-Olympic team competitions were held, Zahkna achieved his greatest success with Aivo Udras , Urmas Kaldvee and Kalju Ojaste and won the bronze medal behind the teams from the CIS and Norway. At the Biathlon World Championships in Borovets in 1993 , the Estonian reached seventh place with the relay. In 1994 Zahkna started at his second Olympic Games and was 39th in the sprint in Lillehammer and eleventh with the relay. After his active career, he became a coach and coached the Estonian national women's team from 2001 to 2010. Since 2010 he has been a board member of the Estonian Biathlon Federation.
