Macedonia competed under the name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia at the 2000 Summer Olympics and thus took part in a summer Olympic tournament for the second time. There were ten athletes (six men and four women) in 15 competitions in five sports. The standard bearer was Lazar Popovski .
