Bhutan took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with two athletes, a woman and a man, in one sport.

Since 1984 it was the Asian state's fifth participation in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

The archer Jubzang Jubzang carried the flag of Bhutan during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
