The Sudan participated in the Summer Olympics in 2000 in the Australian city of Sydney with three athletes, a woman and two men, in part.

Since 1960 , it was the eighth participation of the African state in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

Mahmoud Kieno carried the flag of Sudan during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
