The Sudan participated in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital Rome part with a delegation of ten male athletes in ten competitions in four sports.

The youngest athlete was the weightlifter Mirza Adil (17 years and 163 days), the oldest athlete was the track and field athlete Isaac Elie (31 years and 284 days). It was the country's first Summer Olympics participation .
