Hong Kong , then still a British Crown Colony , competedwith four athletesat the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome .

Attendees

The swimmer Cheung Kin Man , who already took part in the Summer Olympics in 1952 and 1956, started in the 100 m freestyle competition , but did not get past the first heat.

In addition, the following 3 athletes took part in shooting competitions:

• William Gillies : 55th place in the Free Target Pistol competition
• Peter Rull : 37th place in the small bore
• Henry Souza : 36th place in the small bore
