The Philippines took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital Rome with a delegation of 40 athletes, 36 men and four women, in 27 competitions in seven sports. No medals could be won. The youngest athlete was the swimmer Ahiron Radjae (17 years and 173 days), the oldest athlete was the marksman Hernando Castelo (54 years and 18 days). It was the eighth Summer Olympics participation for the country.
