Ghana took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital of Rome with a delegation of 13 male athletes in twelve competitions in two sports.
After 1952, it was Ghana's second participation in the Summer Olympic Games .
The youngest athlete was the boxer Isaac Aryee at 19 years and 147 days , the oldest athlete the track and field athlete Gustav Ntiforo (27 years and 159 days).
