The placements are sorted according to the number of gold medals won, followed by the number of silver and bronze medals ( lexicographical order ). If two or more countries have an identical medal balance, they are listed alphabetically on the same rank. This corresponds to the system used by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) .

• Two silver medals and no bronze medal were awarded in the women's high jump.
• Two gold medals were awarded on the pommel horse and no silver medal.
• In the men's horse jump two gold medals were awarded and no silver medal.
• Two bronze medals were awarded on the rings.
• In boxing, two bronze medals were awarded in all ten weight classes.
