This table shows the medal table for the 1908 Summer Olympics in London . The placements are sorted by the number of gold medals won, followed by the number of silver and bronze medals. If two or more countries have an identical medal balance, they are listed alphabetically on the same rank. This corresponds to the system used by the IOC .

In the medal table, Dorothy Greenhough-Smith's bronze medal was assigned to Great Britain instead of Germany, otherwise it corresponds to the IOC database.

A total of 109 competitions were held. The deviations in the number of medals were as follows:

  • Hockey : Two bronze medals were awarded.
  • Lacrosse : No bronze medal was awarded.
  • Athletics : Two gold, no silver and three bronze medals were awarded in the pole vault, and only one gold medal in the 400-meter run. There were three silver medals in the high jump, two silver medals in the standing high jump and no bronze in each case.
  • Motorboat : Only the gold medal was awarded in all three competitions.
  • Polo : Two silver and no bronze were awarded.
  • Rackets : Bronze was awarded twice.
  • Rowing : Bronze was awarded twice in all four races.
  • Rugby : No bronze medal was awarded.
  • Sailing : Only gold was awarded in the 7-meter class, no bronze in the 12-meter class.
