Ethiopia took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital, Rome, with a delegation of ten male athletes in eight competitions in two sports.

After 1956 it was Ethiopia's second participation in the Summer Olympics .

The youngest athlete was the athlete Moussa Said at 21 years and 334 days , the oldest athlete was the marathon runner Abebe Wakgira (38 years and 325 days).
