The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome with a delegation of 116 athletes (107 men and 9 women) in 64 competitions in 14 sports.

The Yugoslav athletes each won a gold and a silver medal. The men's soccer team won the Olympic championship , and the silver medal went to wrestler Branislav Martinović in the Greco-Roman style lightweight. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was basketball player Radovan Radović .
