The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia took part in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow with a delegation of 164 athletes (136 men and 28 women) in 69 competitions in 17 sports.

The Yugoslav athletes won two gold, three silver and four bronze medals. Olympic champions were the light heavyweight boxer Slobodan Kačar and the men's basketball team. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the canoeist Matija Ljubek .
