Location of Stadl in Bavaria |
Stadl (older spelling: Stadel ) is a district of the town of Waldkirchen in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau . Until 1946 Stadl was an independent municipality.
location
The village of Stadl is located in the Bavarian Forest about three kilometers northeast of Waldkirchen.
history
The settlement emerged in the Middle Ages on the important trade route Goldener Steig . It was subordinate to the Waldkirchen office of the Leoprechting nursing court in the Passau monastery . In 1787 the place consisted of ten properties. It was secularized by Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany in 1803 with most of the Hochstift area in favor of the Electorate of Salzburg and only fell to Bavaria in 1805 .
The municipality of Stadl emerged with the municipal edict of 1818 from the tax district of the same name . Places in the community were Auerbach, Edelmühle, Höllmühle, Manzing, Neufang, Oberndorf, Pollmannsdorf, Poppenreut, Reichermühle, Reichling, Roblhäusl, Solla, Stadl, Traxing and Vordereben. With effect from January 1, 1946, the municipality was dissolved and the places Auerbach, Edelmühle, Solla and Stadl were incorporated into the municipality of Böhmzwiesel . The other parts of the community went to the communities of Hintereben , Ratzing and Schiefweg . On January 1, 1978, the municipality of Böhmzwiesel was incorporated into the town of Waldkirchen as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
