The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City with a delegation of 69 athletes (59 men and 10 women) in 54 competitions in eleven competitions.
The Yugoslav athletes won three gold, three silver and two bronze medals. Olympic champions were Đurđica Bjedov, swimmer over 100 meters chest, gymnast Miroslav Cerar on the pommel horse and the men's water polo team. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the wrestler Branislav Simić .
