Argentina took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City with a delegation of 89 athletes (84 men and 5 women) in 61 competitions in twelve sports.

The Argentine athletes won two bronze medals. The boxer Mario Guilloti was third in the welterweight division, as was the rower Alberto Demiddi in the single. The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the rider Carlos Moratorio .
