The Turkey participated in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City with a delegation of 29 male athletes in 29 sports competitions in four part.

The Turkish athletes won two gold medals. Olympic champions were the freestyle wrestlers Mahmut Atalay in the welterweight division and Ahmet Ayık in the light heavyweight division. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the wrestler Gürbüz Lü .
