Venezuela took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City with a delegation of 23 male athletes in 17 competitions in five sports. Boxer Francisco Rodríguez became an Olympic light flyweight champion , which was also the only medal win by a Venezuelan athlete at the Games.
