The Democratic Republic of the Congo took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City , Mexico , with a delegation of five athletes (all men) in two competitions in one sport (cycling). No medals could be won. The youngest athlete was Samuel Kibamba (18 years and 305 days), the oldest athlete was Ignace Mandjambi (28 years and 16 days). It was the country's first participation in the Summer Olympics .
