Satu Pöntiö (born April 20, 1973 ) is a former Finnish biathlete .

Satu Pöntiö made her international debut in a race in the Biathlon World Cup 1993 in Kontiolahti , where she was 71st of an individual. It was to be their only race in the highest racing class in biathlon. She had her greatest international success when she won the bronze medal in the relay race of the Biathlon European Championships in Minsk in 1998 on the side of Anna-Liisa Rasi and Annukka Mallat . 2001 she entered in Haute-Maurienne again at the European Championships and was 25th of the individual, 45th of the sprint, 33rd of the pursuit and eighth relay with Maija Halopainen , Anna-Liisa Rasi and Pirjo Urpilainen .
