South Korea took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City with a delegation of 54 athletes (41 men and 13 women) in 43 competitions in eleven sports.

The South Korean athletes won a silver and a bronze medal. Both medal wins came in boxing: Jee Yong-ju secured silver in the light flyweight division, Chang Kyou-chul took third place in the bantamweight division.
