Kenya took part in the 1968 Summer Olympic Games in Mexico City with a delegation of 39 athletes (36 men and 3 women) in 22 competitions in four sports.

The Kenyan athletes won three gold, four silver and two bronze medals. Olympic champions were the athletes Kipchoge Keino over 1500 meters, Naftali Temu over 10,000 meters and Amos Biwott over 3000 meters.
