Kimaru Songok
Kimaru Songok (* 1936 in Nandi District , since 2010 Nandi County ) is a former Kenyan hurdler and sprinter .
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth in 1962 , he won silver over the 440 yard hurdles and finished fifth in the Kenyan four-by-440-yard relay. About 440 yards he reached the semifinals.
In 1964 he retired from the Olympic Games in Tokyo over 400 m hurdles in the first round.
At the Africa Games in 1965 he won the 400 m hurdles , and at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 , he failed both over 120 yard hurdles and 440 yard hurdles in the lead.
Also at the Olympic Games in Mexico City in 1968 he did not get over 110 m hurdles and 400 m hurdles beyond the preliminary round.
