Tekla Chemabwai
Tekla Chemabwai (born July 3, 1950 in Mosombor , Nandi County ) is a former Kenyan sprinter and middle distance runner .
At the Olympic Games she was eliminated over 400 m in 1968 in Mexico City in the preliminary run. In 1972 in Munich she reached the quarter-finals and set her personal best with 53.38 m. In 1973 she won at the Africa Games in Lagos on m 400 .
At the Athletics World Cup in 1977 in Düsseldorf, she came seventh with the African team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
In 1978 she won the 800 m at the Africa Games in Algiers and won silver at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton .
She was married to the sprinter Julius Sang .
