Cuba took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City with a delegation of 115 athletes (101 men and 14 women) in 78 competitions in 13 sports.
The Cuban athletes won four silver medals. The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the gymnast Héctor Ramírez .
