The Turkey participated in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal with a delegation of 27 athletes (26 men and one woman) to 27 competitions in eight sports part.

None of the athletes managed to win a medal, which is the first time Turkey has been without a medal since the 1928 Summer Olympics . The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the judoka Süheyl Yeşilnur .
