1976 Summer Olympics / Participant (Norway)

Norway took part in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal with a delegation of 66 athletes (60 men and 6 women) in 44 competitions in eleven sports.

The Norwegian athletes won a gold and a silver medal. Olympic champions were the rowers Alf John Hansen and Frank Hansen in double twos, while rowers Finn Tveter , Rolf Andreassen , Arne Bergodd and Ole Nafstad secured the silver medal in four without a helmsman. The standard bearer at the opening ceremony was the weightlifter Leif Jensen .
