Morten Jensen (born September 20, 1987 in Husum ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .
Career
Jensen grew up in Husum in Schleswig-Holstein and started playing football at Rödemisser SV . He later played for Husumer SV and went from there to the then C-youth regional division DGF Flensborg ; During this time, he was also appointed to the class selection at the state and federal level. In 2003 he moved to the Bundesliga club Hannover 96 . In the 2005/06 season Jensen took over the position of third goalkeeper at Hannover 96 after his predecessor Daniel Haas had been loaned to the regional league team TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for one season in order to collect match practice. On the last day of the 2005/06 season Jensen made his debut in the Bundesliga, as regular goalkeeper Robert Enke and substitute goalkeeper Frank Jurić were injured. His first Bundesliga game ended 2-2 against Bayer 04 Leverkusen . His second Bundesliga game ended in the 2008/09 season 1: 1 against Arminia Bielefeld . After Enke's suicide, Jensen did not move forward, but could not get past Florian Fromlowitz ; so it stayed with his two Bundesliga appearances. At the end of the 2009/10 season , Jensen's contract expired at 96.
For the 2010/11 season he moved to the southern regional division KSV Hessen Kassel . He signed a one-year contract that would have been extended for another year if promoted. However, since the North Hessians missed promotion, the contract expired in June 2011. Jensen then joined the northern regional division Holstein Kiel , where he signed a two-year contract and made his debut at the season opener on August 7, 2011 in the game against Halleschen FC . This season he was also in the goal of the “Storks” when Kiel eliminated first division Mainz 05 from the competition with 2-0 in the second round of the cup . For the 2013/14 season he moved to the third division promoted SV Elversberg , where he was only considered in the second team in the second half of the 2015/16 season. In summer 2016 he returned to the Hanover region, where he was signed by the northern regional division TSV Havelse . Jensen ended his career at TSV in May 2018.
