Israel took part in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal with a delegation of 26 athletes (24 men and 2 women) in 19 competitions in ten sports. None of the athletes managed to win a medal. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was Esther Roth-Shachamorov .
