Israel took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in the US metropolis of Atlanta with 25 athletes, seven women and eighteen men, in ten sports.

It was Israel's eleventh participation in the Summer Olympics since 1952 .

Flag bearer

The fencer Lydia Czuckermann-Hatuel carried the flag of Israel during the opening ceremony on July 19 at the Centennial Olympic Stadium .
