Cameroon took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in the US metropolis of Atlanta with fifteen athletes, four women and eleven men, in thirteen competitions in five sports.
Since 1964 it was Cameroon's ninth participation in the Summer Olympics .
Flag bearer
Athlete Georgette N'Koma carried the flag of Cameroon during the opening ceremony on July 19 at the Centennial Olympic Stadium .
Attendees
The youngest participant in Cameroon was the athlete Sylvie Mballa Eloundou at 19 years and 104 days, the oldest Georgette N'Koma at 31 years and 82 days, who also started in athletics.
